CPIN Simulation AnalysisSimulations are supposed to be activities which attempt to mirror real life situations and at the same time, create opportunity for students to acquire knowledge and skills. CPIN was designed to include both a mastery in process and selected content matter.
Write a paper considering the following guide questions. You are welcome to adapt the questions to your own unique experience with the simulation.
- In What ways did the simulation approach the real world of international relations and in what ways did it diverge?
- What (aside from the technology) was the most frustrating aspect of the simulation? Do you think this frustration exists in the real world?
- In what ways did computers help you to communicate and in what ways did they hinder your communications?
- What was the most significant thing that you felt was accomplished during the simulations? Why?
- What would you change about the simulation and why?
- List the 10 most significant facts you learned about your topic.
- Did your group remain in character? Can you assess the role-playing of other particular groups?
- What part did you play in the group? Consider your role in group decision making, electronic mail messages, and participation at the conferences.
