Directions: With this project, you will be employing and applying all of your knowledge of foreign policy and its child, "conflict resolution," to make a change or difference in your world. Expect to peer-edit and/or rewrite your work several times if necessary. Points will be deducted for not properly following the project outlines below.
OPTION
Goal: Persuade President Clinton to change or keep his policy on an issue with China.
USE: letter format (see Microsoft Word wizards)
Product: 1 page typed, 10 point font, double spaced, .7" margins; CC: Aceto
- state the policy issue and problem
- history of issue
- possible solutions or what you did as China (what you learned from being the other side)
- recommended solution and policy (with consequences and benefits)
OPTION
GOAL: Develop and provide guidance to students on how to deal with problems and conflicts (pass on what you have learned and you will live forever).
PRODUCT: 1 page typed, 10 point font, double spaced, .7" margins

Possible Options for Focus:
student-student (fights, rumor-mill or gossip, threats, etc.)
student-girl/boyfriend (arguments, suspected infidelity, living w/ someone)
student-parent/guardian (dealing w/ rules, money, getting a job, friends)
student-boss (work times, pay, unfair rules, late to work, harassment)
