CPIN's Research and Teaching Missions
The primary research focus of CPIN is the development of theoretical models of the domestic constraints on international negotiation and the generation of policy-relevant approaches to the resolution of conflicts throughout the contemporary international system.
CPIN conducts computer-assisted foreign policy simulations for high school and college students. These simulations employ an active-learning approach to international relations and diplomatic training and highlight the cross-cultural difficulties inherent in international negotiation.
