Barbara is responsible for selecting books, journals and electronic resources; providing in-depth research assistance and library instruction; and acting as the advocate within the Library for the following:
Departments, Schools, or Programs  
Psychology
Resources in Psychology
•Educational Leadership
Services
Contact Barbara to request any of these services, or for help with any other library-related question or concerns.

Library Instruction - request general orientation, course-related instruction, and focused research training. Group and individual training sessions are available by appointment. For group sessions, please contact the liaison at least 2 weeks in advance.

Research Assistance - request help in selecting appropriate resources, performing database searches, or locating relevant materials at other institutions.

Citation Assistance - request help in verifying citations for publications, bibliographies, or Interlibrary Loan orders.

New Materials Requests - suggest titles to be added to the Libraries' collection.

   
Background
Barbara's career in libraries spans over 30 years. She has worked in or managed a variety of operations in academic libraries, including acquisitions, cataloging, collection development, preservation, circulation, interlibrary loan, information/referral services, reference, library administration, library automation and systems, rare books and manuscripts, stack maintenance. She has held managerial or administrative positions at The University of Minnesota/Twin Cities, The University of Texas at Austin, and The University of Connecticut/Storrs. She holds a B.A. in English from Macalester College, an M.L.I.S. from The University of Texas at Austin, and an M.S. in Communication from Central Connecticut State University.
