Off-Campus access to Library Resources
Off-campus access to the Libraries' licensed databases and electronic journals normally restricted to those using a valid UConn IP address (on-campus computers within the uconn.edu domain) is now available via two means:
  1. The proxy server, which allows access to web-based resources, and for which configuration and use instructions are available at http://helpdesk.uconn.edu/trouble/proxy/proxyconfig.html and
  2. VPN (at http://vpn.uconn.edu), which allows access to web-based resources as well as other electronic resources requiring a separate client (such as Beilstein and SciFinder Scholar), for which configuration and use instructions are available at http://security.uconn.edu/guides/vpn.html.
After following the instructions for configuring your access method of choice, your UConn NetID will serve as the ID/password to allow you access.
