National Economic Accounts, Bureau of Economic Analysis

NBER-CES Manufacturing Industry Database
Joint effort between National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and US Census Bureau's Center for Economic Studies (CES). Contains annual industry-level data on output, employment, payroll and other input costs, investment, capital stocks, TFP, and various industry-specific price indexes. The database covers all 4-digit manufacturing industries from 1958-1996, in two versions: 1987 SIC codes (459 industries) and 1972 SIC codes (448 industries).
