Bureau of Justice Statistics
Provides data on the U.S. murder rate, drug use, crime rates, arrests, prison population and reports on such subjects as violence against women, capital punishment, drugs and crime, guns used in crimes, and prison populations.
Crime and Justice Data Online
Provides downloadable State data on crime trends and homicide trends. Also, includes statistics on law enforcement management and prosecutors' offices
Crime in the United States
Crime in the United States (CIUS) is an annual publication in which the FBI compiles volume and rate of crime offenses for the nation, the states, and individual agencies. This report also includes arrest, clearance, and law enforcement employee data.
Death Penalty Information Center
Includes data on states with and without death penalty, inmates on death row by state and race, and size of death row populations since 1968
Federal Judicial Caseload Statistics
Statistical tables on the caseload of the federal Judiciary for the 12-month period ending March 31 address the work of the U.S. courts of appeals, district courts and bankruptcy courts, as well as the federal probation and pretrial services system. Contains charts and summary text discussing reasons for increases and decreases in the courts' caseload. Judicial Caseload Indicators table compares the Judiciary's current fiscal year caseload to its caseload 1, 5, and 10 years earlier. Publications dating back to 2001 are available online.

Judicial Facts and Figures
Judicial Facts and Figures is a set of tables containing historical caseload data primarily for the fiscal years 1990, 1995 and 2000 through 2005. All tables are in PDF. This publication includes data on the U.S. Courts of Appeals, the U.S. District Courts, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts. For each court, it covers data on number of cases filed, terminated, and pending.
National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD)
NACJD acquires, archives, processes, and provides access to computer-readable criminal justice data collections for research and instruction. The NACJD website provides free access to over 550 criminal justice data collections on topics such as courts, court case processing, corrections, criminal justice system, police, crime and delinquency, vicitimization, and drugs, alcohol, and crime collections free of charge.
Sourcebook of Criminal Justice
The Sourcebook of Criminal Justice Statistics brings together data from more than 100 sources about many aspects of criminal justice in the United States. These data are displayed in over 600 tables. The Sourcebook is supported by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics. Data tables are organized into six topical sections: criminal justice characteristics; public opinion; crime, victims; arrests,seizures; courts, prosecution, sentencing; parole, jails, prisons, death penalty.
United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime
Provides access to "World Drug Report", a two volume set that covers market trends and provides in depth trend analysis and detailed statistics on all of the drug markets. Also, includes the International Crime Victim Surveys that provide information on crime and victimization through a standard questionnaire, the results of which are internationally comparable.
Wiretap Reports
Uses tables, text, and charts to report information provided by federal and state officials on orders authorizing or approving interceptions of wire, oral, or electronic communications for the calendar year ending December 31. Presents data on types of offenses under investigation, nature and locations of intercept devices, costs and durations of intercepts, and intercept extensions granted. Does not include names, addresses, or phone numbers of subjects under surveillance. Publications dating back to 1997 available on line.
